To Start With...
I had completed my A-levels at college, motivated to continue on the path of design and technology. I knew I wanted to go into Architecture; with an ever growing need of a plethora of buildings and structures, I decided to use the summer break to gain work experience in a local firm of architects. I used this time to complete introductory tasks and sit in on some of the CPD sessions which gave a flavour of what I'd learn on the Architectural Design and Technology course at Solent University.
Freshers week came and went; its now already been 3 years since sitting the first lecture.
Successes
The end of my last year of studies, and most assignments will have been submitted to receive a final grade for the year.
I have enjoyed tying my design and technical understanding together within my last remaining projects, both group and individual. The use of software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Lumion, has enabled me to produce and present my drawings accurately and efficiently and present the final outcome
Through both individual and group tasks, I have continued to develop organisation and planning skills along with using effective communication to enable teams to produce our best work. I look forward to seeing how the results of my time studying can be used to gain further experience within the professional environment.
Looking to the Future
I am currently putting into practise all that I have learnt over the course of my studies and employment. I am currently seeking work within the South East region of the UK to enable me to further refine and develop skills within a professional environment whilst contributing towards the team.
